Basket Weaving in Panama

The Kuna Yala, indigenous people of Panama, have many hand crafted items you can purchase. The hand woven crafts are really amazing. These baskets are in all sizes and different shapes. In the city markets you can expect to pay $80- $200. If you are able to trek out to the Kuna Yala territories you can purchase them for a much lower price.

The Husband bought this directly from the maker for around $20. The detail is amazing and this particular basket is actually on the simple side of what they can do. The designs are usually very intricate.

This is a must have souvenir from Panama!
